Standard Question: Numeric Fields

This article will help you setup a Numeric Fields. 


Adding a Numeric Field Question:

  1. If you have not created a question before, please see the following article before you begin 
    1. How to add a Question
  2. The 'New Question' box will then appear
    1. Edit the question number if necessary. 
    2. Select 'Standard' from the Question Menu (default Menu)
    3. Select 'Numeric fields'
    4. Click 'Create'

Numeric Fields are used for a number of reasons. Below are some examples:

  • A single numeric input box. Example: What is your age?
    1. Click on the gear icon on the top right to open the overall question settings.
    2. Update your 'Value Range' as needed.
    3. Update your 'Response Label Position' as needed. If you do not have any text you want to appear next to the input box, select 'Right' from the dropdown.


  • Multiple numeric input boxes.
    1. Add the response list as needed
    2. If you want to add a '%' symbol to the right, click on the 'Add Right Label' option and in the space that appears, type in the symbol
    3. Click on the gear icon on the top right to open the overall question settings.
    4. Use the 'Show Running Total' toggle, if you want to have the total appear at the bottom of the list
    5. Update your 'Value Range' as needed
    6. You can use the 'Force Total' should you want this to add to 100
    7. Update your 'Response Label Position' as needed
    8. You can update the 'Default Value' should you want have all of the input boxes start at 0
