Chart Interactivity

Overview

Because all charts are based on underlying crosstabs, charts automatically assume the same interactivity settings as their parent crosstab. When a crosstab has multiple row or column variables, or includes a filter variable, it can become interactive, allowing other users to adjust the data it displays. By default, interactive controls will automatically appear when a crosstab has more than one row or column variable, or contains a filter variable. Charts made from an interactive crosstab will also be interactive.

Adjust Chart Interactivity

  1. Open the chart by clicking on its name
  2. Click the Edit button in the gray toolbar (classic), select the Interactivity tab, or
  3. Edit the chart and open the Visualize > Interactive area (new)
  4. Turn chart interactivity on or off with the checkboxes
  5. Adjust the default selection for the controls as needed
