MarketSight - Upload With DataSync

Overview

Once an administrator has set up a Data Source and given users access to it, users may add new datasets into MarketSight from that source.

Upload a Dataset from Confirmit

1. Go to Datasets
2. Click New in the menu
3. Choose "Dataset"
4. Select the Data Source from the Source drop down menu (A) (if you have not already created a Data Source, click here)
5. Enter External Project ID (B) (located in Confirmit)
6. Select the desired DataSync Mode (C) (see the last section of this article)
7. Tell MarketSight if the dataset should sync automatically (D) (see "How Often do DataSync Datasets Update?" below)
8. Enter a unique name for this dataset (E)
9. Enter optional description
10. Click OK

Upload a Dataset from Qualtrics

1. Go to Datasets
2. Click New in the menu
3. Choose "Dataset"
4. Select the Data Source from the Source drop down menu (A) (if you have not already created a Data Source, click here)
5. Enter External Project ID (B) (located in Qualtrics)
6. Select the desired DataSync Mode (C) (see the final section of this article)
7. Tell MarketSight if the dataset should sync automatically (D) (see "How Often do DataSync Datasets Update?" below)
8. Enter a unique name for this dataset (E)
9. Enter optional description
10. Click OK

How Often Do DataSync Datasets Update?

Manually Update a DataSync Dataset

1. Go to Datasets
2. Right click on the dataset
3. Select Properties
4. Click Sync Now
5. Wait until Update Complete is displayed
6. Click OK

Check a Dataset's DataSync History

1. Go to Datasets
2. Right click on the dataset
3. Select Properties
4. Click View History
