Creating an Email Send

This article will show you how to create an 'Email Send' 


Background

This article will go over the process of creating and updating an 'Email Send'.


Creating an 'Email Send'

  1. Access the 'Email Campaigns' section of the Dashboard
  2. Add a new 'Email Campaign' 
  3. Click on the '+ Email Send' button 
  4. You will now be able to customize your 'Email Send' 
  5. Update the 'Email Subject'. This is the subject line of the email invite.
  6. Update the 'Sender Name' field. This is the name that will appear next to the 'from email' address. 
    • Here is an example: Survey Invite <noreply@surveyemail.net>
    • You cannot use and special characters in this field
  7. Click on the pencil icon to update the 'Survey URL' 
    1. Update the base 'Survey URL' as needed by selecting the appropriate one from the dropdown of currently active links 
    2. Append any variables needed to customize the url per respondent using [[X]] to pipe any column from your client list sample file. This can include items such as a predetermined passcode which you have included in your file. 
    3. Once you are done updating the 'Survey URL' make sure to click on the 'Done' button to finalize the URL updates
  8. On the left side you will notice the 'Email Templates' section. Click on the 'Activate' button to utilize it. 

    1. The template will now be active on the main screen. Feel free to update the text as you see fit. 
      • Try to avoid updating the section at the bottom in grey as it contains verbiage that will aid in getting the email into more inboxes. 
    2. If needed you can use the 'Insert Survey Link' button to place the link anywhere within your email. Place your cursor in the location within the email you would like it to appear and then click on the button to insert it. 
    3. If needed you can use the 'Insert Unsibscribe Link' button to place the link anywhere within your email. Place your cursor in the location within the email you would like it to appear and then click on the button to insert it. 
    4. Assuming you have already uploaded your 'Client List', you can use the 'Select Sample Variable' dropdown to pipe in any columns. Select the item from the dropdown and click on the '+' button. 
      • You can still insert the variables manually as needed. The piping must be identical to the corresponding column name within the file 
  9. If you click on 'Template Options' on the right you will be able to do a couple of things 

    1. Click on the 'Upload Logo' button to search for and import your logo. This will replace the placeholders in the template. 
    2. Update the 'Accent Color' by clicking on the eyedropper o change the default grey to another color as you see fit 
  10. Once you are done customizing your 'Email Send', click 'Save' on the bottom right
