Creating a Test Data Template
This article will show you how to create a Test Data Template
Background
'Test Data Templates' are used to help you control dummy data and allow you to create different surveys paths in order to verify them. Using the interface you can select answers to specific question in order to ensure those specific questions and variables are set in a specific way. You can create as many of these 'Test Data Templates' as needed.
Creating a Test Data Template
- Access the 'Validate Data Tool'

- Begin the process of 'Generating Test Data'

- Once you get to the screen where you enter the Test Run specifics, click on

You will then see the 'Test Data Template' selection screen.

You can select the answers in two ways:
- Use the options in the 'Value' column to hard code answers.
- The other option would be to toggle the 'Formula' toggle on in the corresponding row and then using our formula syntax to create a formula instead of a specific value.
- Use the options in the 'Value' column to hard code answers.

If you want to filter the list you can search for specific questions/variables or check any of the other filters at the top of the screen and any matching items will then appear
- Once you are done, name your saved template at the bottom of the screen

Next, click on the 'Create' button at the bottom

Now you can use the saved 'Test Data Template' as needed
