Filtering Your Data Download

This article will show you how to filter a 'Data Layout' 

Background

In order to streamline the data download process we have added an additional feature to the 'Export Files' section of the system. Now you can filter your data file so you only get the data you need. Prior to this you would have to download all the data and filter out respondents manually. This can be a very time consuming process. The instructions below will help you filter your data file.

Filter Your Data File

1. Start the Data Download process

2. Before clicking on the 'Generate File' button, locate the 'Response Query' field. 

   

3. Here you can use regular logic syntax to filter your data file so you only get the data you need. If the filter is true, ONLY those respondent that fit the criteria indicated will show up in your data file.

4. Click on the 'Generate File' button and your filtered data file will begin to download.
