Importing a Survey Definition File

This article will show you how Import a Survey Definition file. 

Background

This is an HTML formatted file using markup specific to Cmix to create your survey.  It can be created or exported from Cmix.

Note: Please check here for the tags and attributes currently supported in the survey definition file.  Other tags and attributes may not be imported.

Importing a Survey Definition File into a New Survey

To import your Survey Definition file in a new survey, use the following steps.

1. From the 'Launchpad', click on '+ New Survey' 
   
2. Add your 'Survey Name' 

   

3. Click on 'Show Additional Options' if you want to provide access to others to your survey. You do not have to do this now. You can always update this later

   

4. Click on 'Start from Definition File' 
   

5. Click on the 'Upload Survey Definition File' button 
   

6. Search for your file 

7. Click on 'Create' 
   

Importing a Survey Definition File into an Existing Survey

If you are importing your definition file into an existing survey, please use the following steps.

1. Access the 'Survey Markup Editor'. There are 2 ways to do so:

2. This will open the editor 

   

3. Click on the vertical ellipsis towards the top 
   

4. Select 'Import' 
   

5. Search for and open your file
