Standard Question: Grid

This article will help you setup a Grid question. 

Adding a Grid:

1. If you have not created a question before, please see the following article before you begin 
   1. How to add a Question
2. The 'New Question' box will then appear
   1. Edit the question number if necessary. 
   2. Select 'Standard' from the Question Menu (default Menu)
   3. Select 'Grid'
   4. You will have to determine how you want it setup
      • Select the 'ORIENTATION'
      • Select the "TYPE'
   5. Click 'CREATE'
      

Setting up your Grid

Now that you have created your Grid, you can customize it as needed. 

1. Update your question text as needed 
2. Regarless of the 'ORIENTATION' you selected, you will see:
   1. 'ROWS' first followed by 'COLUMNS'
      
   2. NOTE: The sub-question names will be tied to the 'ORIENTATION' selected
3. In order to start adding your responses, you need to:
   1. You will be on the 'ROWS; Grid Menu by default 
      1. Click on '+ ROWS', 
      2. Click on 'GENERATE ROWS'
      3. Click on 'GENERATE RESPONSE FROM IMAGE' or
      4. Click on 'USE SHARED LIST' (see Using a Shared List) 
         
4. Once you are done with your 'ROWS' (in this example)
   1. Click on 'COLUMNS' from the Grid Menu 
      
      1. Click on '+ COLUMNS', 
      2. Click on 'GENERATE COLUMNS' 
      3. Click on 'GENERATE RESPONSE FROM IMAGE' or
      4. Click on 'USE A SHARED LIST' (see Using a Shared List) 
         
5. If you have the need for an overall question opt out:
   
   1. Click on '"DON'T KNOW" RESPONSES', 
      1. Click on '+ DON'T KNOW'
      2. Click on 'GENERATE DON'T KNOW' or 
      3. Click on 'GENERATE RESPONSE FROM IMAGE'
